It may depend on the user...some sleep far hotter than I do...

And to be clear - ideally I would have both as I would rather have the 3 seasons n above 50 degree temps (I wouldn't need to vent likely) and the winter model perhaps at some temps lower - but money don't grow on trees

Some I suspect in the southeast would disagree with me...

I've got the Sierra Stealth and have found it a versatile piece. I've used it as a ground sleeper, in a hammock, and in jacket-mode. I've even layered an EE 40 degree APEX quilt over top and slept with the pair down into the teens.

Are the down sleeves and hood properly mated with the Sierra Stealth?

OK, so maybe "vest mode" would be a better description for my use I cannot say how the sleeves and hood mate.

Completely agree. I've used a Greylock 3 for years and it's a fine quilt. But for the money, if I was in the market for a new quilt, there are many more options/vendors today to choose from making quality products at a great value.

There are a lot of choices out there. That is a good thing that we have so many choices. With the options in this quilt it may fit someone's HYOH more than another. For some of the options in other's quilts those features may suit best. That is the beauty of the quality choices we have from the great vendors we have in the community. There is something for everyone. If this does not fit your need, move on; if the benefit's and features work for you then this is a good deal for this quilt.

Yes, the JRB Down Sleeves and JRB Down Hood will work with the Sierra Stealth.

Here is a link to the JRB Web page for detail... http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/sierra-stealth/ ... But the Massdrop price is a significant savings while the drop lasts for the next day or so.

I just joined the drop @ $174.99....previously when I looked at it I didn't realize it was the Active-Dri version.

Just unlocked the lower price....10 left.

    $35 discount.

    Jack-R-Better Sierra-Stealth Quilt on Massdrop

at JRB, everything is stocked and shipping is quick. You can go ahead and order that econ quilt from other vendors and wait a month (or longer) to get it, or you can order from JRB and get it within the week.

part of the price is convienence.
