Interesting name (lol) and design. Definitely looks like it would keep MOST of the bugs out but I have some doubts on if that would REALLY keep ALL the bugs out. Seems like you could have gaps pretty easily and for a person who hates bugs (like me) 1 bug may as well be 100 of em. To me it feels a little unfinished..which is the point i guess - to save the weight of the full zipper. Ill be interested to see how folks like this. I am sure it will fill a nice niche for some folks.

I like the looks of this. I don't like the zipper on most integrated bug nets, so this is definitely a step in the right direction. Right now I'm playing around with a Fronkey style net, but I really like the idea of the net being integrated into the hammock.

This. Some more clever out-of-the-box creativity from Dutch. Might be just the ticket for those who like the freedom of a Fronkey-style net but want to shed a few grams with an uncomplicated but integrated hybrid design. Bravo.

Cool idea, I love the inclusion of hooks for a peak loft, I sewed a couple on to my Dutch netless. Would love to see it as an option on the netless hammocks in the future, a small hole in my hammock tells me I'll be ordering a new one in the next 6 months or so.

    Interesting concept.

One area that I'm somewhat surprized that I haven't seen anyone play with is magnets for attachments. (I've mostly seen zippers and velcro)
I had been pondering a bug net where one side was sewn, and the other side attached using a number of small neodymium magnets sewed into the hem.

I'm curious if the extra lenght of bug net helps....
LOL - probably depends on which side of the hammock the bugs are coming from ;-)

I was actually thinking about magnets earlier - but I just read sectionhiker's review of the Katabatic Gear Onni backpack, which uses magnets, and he mentioned how he'd had problems with them interfering with his compass previously. I don't know how much of an issue it was for him, and I haven't tried it out, but it was food for consideration.

Magnets tend to be heavy and expensive. Guessing thats why they are not really used.

Grizz (and WV?) has used magnets on his bridge bug nets.

Pretty sure both of them had a bit of magnet dual so to speak on cleverness and creativity with the concept.
