Ridgeline: A rather long thread. This is for a crl but uses some of the same or similiar enough solutions as Redoleary.

    I'm with Sqid...

CRL with wasp and Dutch hook on either end, with sliding mini ucrs that have a small fixed eye to loop over diamond knot on the ends of each tarp, and sliding whipping knots on the eye to lock over the diamond knot.

The tarps can stay in the double ended/bishop bag with the knots hanging out. Hang the CRL and attach the exposed diamond knots to the ucrs eye and leave it hanging until you want to deploy it. Super easy to center. Less lines attached to the tarp to wrangle into the bag or untangle. I'm not a fan of snake skins.

Can't really thing of any way to improved on this for my style of use.

I'm also a fan of two separate lines and just use two different knots instead of hardware to get everything taut. With my luck I would be nervous about losing the little metal pieces...

On my OES I used to have a continuous ridgeline, the tarp would then connect to two prusik knots on the ridgeline. So set up the ridgeline, clip on tarp, slide it in place. Sounded simple but never seemed that fast when actually setting up. Now I have separate lines on each end. I have a Dutch fleaz on each end attached to the tarp with a little loop of zing-it. Line goes from fleaz to tree. On my Superfly, I use separate lines going to the tree. Tried the continuous, didn't like it.

I love the ease of use and adjustability a split set-up consisting of wasps on 12 feet of reflect it. Easy to adjust and accommodates longer distances better in the stinger set up. ( I especially like this with my ridge runner). I have replaced all but one of my tarp set ups with this configuration.

I used end only with Dutch's wasps(100+ nights). You can over tighten using hardware but as long as you are cautious of this all the hardware works great and its super easy to set up take down.

Sorry about that. I pasted directly from another thread, forgot that doesn't work so well.

Ridgeline. The post in this thread is where massis thread kinda took a turn, but read from the beginning if you want to see how it came about.

Single central ridgeline for me. Secured around each tree with a Farrimond hitch, and prussic loops connecting to each end of the tarp with a mini Nitize caribiner, and a third on the tarp's central loop. I did like the split line arrangement in many ways, but I like the fexibility and quick and easy adjustability of the single central ridgeline better. I prefer to not have a tarp if I can get away with it. If it looks like there is a slight chance of rain, I will rig up the ridgeline in readiness. If the chances of rain are greater, I clip up my tarp still in the snakeskin ready for a quick deployment if my gamble doesn't pay off - the third central caribiner stops it from sagging down in the middle too much.

Once the tarp is up, I like to be able to quickly move it about if the wind changes direction, and so I like the ability to quickly and easily slide the tarp up and down the ridgeline to achieve this. If it is raining when I arrive, I can throw the tarp up quickly to get me and my gear out of the rain, knowing I can fiddle about with centering it afterwards.

The Farrimond hitches reduces the hardware I need, and are quick to deploy, very secure and adjustable and instantly disappear with a tug of the end when packing up.
