Upon further reflection, this IS Florida. For anyone that doesn't know our weather, it comes in fast and goes out just as fast.
Always, always have your raingear with you. You may go on a quick hike and that's when it comes. You may go for a paddle, that's when it happens.
Also, anyone going to Juniper Springs to canoe/kayak, they won't let you take disposable containers with you. This includes plastic water bottles, sandwich bags, plastic cups, etc. They check coolers.

Doe Lake is actually considered to be in Ocklawaha, FL. The physical address is:
20220 SE 127th Street Road
Ocklawaha, FL 32719
It is part of Ocala National Forest. Putting that address in confuses Google though.

Are you short on any specific kitchen gear or charcoal? I don't want to lug any extra gear if it is not needed, but if you have a specific shortage let us know.

Sorry, I'm still having a problem pin pointing it. I find Doe Lake Recreation and it still sends me to Umatilla. The address you sent me isn't even close to Doe Lake. Maybe I'm having trouble with Google map.
