But you're like a hound dog because you sniff bushwacked your way to camp. Your new trail name is "hound dog".

Gumbo, that's deliciously great to hear. Glad you're on the job. Does this also mean "cheesy bacon SHRIMP grits" for Sunday's breakfast?
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

If we were to be honest the trail name should be more like "Google maps" or "cell service"

The Sanford airport is closer but not sure what all flights land there.

I always wonted to try a guilt but never have. I saw a huge guy in a motorcycle dealership once in a guilt once. He must have been a professional weight lifter because he was all muscle and I don't think he could even wear pants. I quit going to biker rally's a long time ago because of the drugs and drunks. Just wondering if everyone knows that Florida requires 2" webbing around trees now. I'll have to find some before the trip.

    Looking forward to this hang!
Getting ready to make my donation and buy some raffle tickets and get my fishing license.
I think this trip will have many food firsts for me. For example, I've never had grits before.

The 2" tree straps are only for State Parks. Doe Lake is in a National Park so 1" tree straps are fine.

Grits are slightly bland in themselves but transfer flavor very well. The mornings are filled with Cheesy Bacon Grits and that's a winner combo. Then, we add some coastal flavor with the shrimp for the ultimate Cheesy Bacon Shrimp Grits. It takes a while to peel all the shrimp and dice them, but the results are too good to miss.

Good news! I booked my flight, and it looks like I'll be flying into to Tampa around 2PM on Thursday.

I've also convinced my friend to join me. He's brand new to hammock camping, so I'm going to set him up with a hammock and a tarp. I've got a sleeping pad and sleeping bag for his insulation, so I'm a little worried if there is a cold snap, but we will have a tent for worst case scenario if we have to keep warm in another area.

I'm stoked. We should be there Thursday evening, and I'm willing to help out any way possible to make it a great time for everybody.

    See everybody there!

Hey everyone, Mark and I were thinking that it might be fun to livestream the podcast over our FB channel. Can anyone say how good/bad the cellular data service is there at Ocala?
