Question Pictured Rocks, MI Need info. on sites

Hi all! I am planning a backpacking trip for later this fall and need to know if the following backcountry campsites are hammock friendly. (I already looked through the forum, but these specific sites were not listed):
    -Potato Patch
    -Chapel Beach
    -Trappers Lake
    -AuSable East

Thank you for any information you can help me with!

I found a post about Potato Patch and Chapel Beach being ok. Now I just need to know about Trappers Lake and AuSable East. On google maps it looks like they are both in wooded areas.

I think the biggest challenge is being close enough to the post that you're supposed to be x distance from.
    Good luck,

Are they that strict about it? That was what I was worried about.

You need to be with 15ft of the post that your registration is on. I argued with one ranger my tree strap was and your rules do not clearly define what part of your sleeping arrangement had to be. Only bothered once out of 10 trips.
Potato has no water, the hill sucks
Chapel has a good number of spots
Not sure on the other two.

None good for hammocks, beaver, Cades cove, chapel, mosquito

Thank you! I was wondering if it meant my entire hammock or just part of it. Good to know.

I meant to say known good spots, beaver, cades cove, chapel, mosquito. Typically if you're behaving yourself you won't be bothered

I was in the Au Sable group site earlier this year and had several trees to choose from. Didn't go into the individuals but they looked to be in denser woods. There are for sure trees, but more of them may be smallish pines.

Thanks for the info.! I am smallish so maybe the trees will work. Last night I found a YouTube video with hammocks at that site. So I think that will work.
