VIDEO: Superior Hiking Trail - Finland to Beaver Bay

I had a great three day 30 mile hike on the SHT this past weekend. Finland to Beaver Bay is one of the more scenic (but challenging) sections of the trail. From Section 13, Sawmill Dome, Tettegouche State Park and the High Falls, Mount Trudee, Bean and Bear Lake overlooks, to the Beaver River, it was awesome.

It was great weather. Trail wasn't too crowded. No bugs, however the trail was muddy as usual. Really enjoyed the sites and my first swim in Bear Lake. I also added a little Shug video from the MN State Fair.

Yep. People underestimate the amount of hills. Being the end of the summer the lake wasn't too bad. Thanks for watching!
