Favorite time to go hammock camping?

Hey Folks, I'm new to the forum, and was wondering when and why are your favorite times to hammock camp?

For me it's from late September to about early April at the latest. Here in the south (Alabama), the heat and humidity really hinder any kind of outdoor sports for me. Fortunately we have mild winters, so from September to about April is wide open for me.

Favorite time to go hammock camping?

    Everytime is hammock camping time.
I love every season. In winter you don't have to worry about moskitos, in spring the nature is most beautiful, in sommer you can camp lightweight and autumn is the time of wonderful colored leaves.

I'm very much a "Goldilocks" camper. April, May, June, September, October & November. Not too hot, not too cold.

Late September thru May when it is not hot. I prefer cool / colder weather for camping / hiking / hanging in a hammock. Trying to wake up right now as I was out in the back yard conducting afternoon hammock studies ( taking a nap under my Pecan tree listening to the Cicadas ).

I'm up for any time of the year. If I had to pick, I prefer late fall and early spring. Less people out in the woods and no bugs to deal with. Also tend to get better views with the leaves off the trees.

Cool/Cold for me. Late Fall, Winter preferred in my home radius. Summers are best at elevation where it's not as humid and still cool at nights.

I definitely don't care for summer temps. Nevertheless, I will go out at least once a month in July, August and September, just to remind me how much hot weather sucks.

Dealing almost year round with heat and humidity in Texas, it's pretty well anytime my schedule allows. I cherish each trip cause with my work and home life it's few and far between I get more then an over nighter.
