    Best Diamond Tarp

I think I'll make a diamond tarp for the summer. Not sure of the dimensions, but I do like 12' ridgelines....My old Guide Gear 9x9 diamond is plenty long, I just don't want a camo tarp.

I want something that doesn't have to be setup so exactly to get a reasonably taught pitch...i.e. tying the sides to whatever tree root, or log that isn't exactly perpendicular to the tarp's ridgeline.

IF I decide to copy a production model, what diamond tarps have you used and what were your thoughts about their pitching characteristics?

I wasn't sure whether to post this in MYOG or under Weather Protection.

Use it as a pattern, then send it to me!

Most people think about cutting off the ends that go to the ground. I like my GG 9X9 as-is.

And have the pleasure of dealing with two more stakes and tie-outs for their trouble.

Did that to one of them, it was okay, but I do like them as is!

I haven't liked the tarps with two tieouts per side that much. I do like the forgiveness of my MacCat Ultra, it seems like you can set it up quick and not have trouble with flopping edges.

I mostly want this tarp for riverside gravel bars, sometimes you have to really pound away to stake a tarp, and just having one stake makes things so much easier.

I had forgotten about both of these tarps. What are the dimensions of the Funky Forest?

The Funky Forest tarp is 10'x10'. It does give great coverage.
