    Talking Hi I'm BigBenny

    Hey y'all,

I'm BigBenny, I'm new to camping and hammocking. I've been reading lots and watching lots of youtube videos. I've learnt lots, it seems like a great community.

I am interested in making a modular hammock system that I can use in all seasons and conditions. I'm researching the available gear, and learning about hammocking in general.

    Thanks,
    BigBenny

Sorry, but make, I mean buy different components (hammock, sleeping pad, under quilt protector, etc.), not design from scratch to make a new product.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The high and especially the nighttime low temperatures in your area will drive what gear you may need.

No problem regarding the misunderstanding, it was my bad choice of words.

The high and especially the nighttime low temperatures in your area will drive what gear you may need.
I think this is key. I am trying to work out what's suitable.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
