For a hot weather tarp, how about a tarp with mosquito net https://goo.gl/VSKVyv for air flow, yet at the same time provides rain protection. Parachute Nylon, light and strong

IF its not raining or going to rain, try no tarp at all. I've recently started this, it's great, of course it all depends on rain possibility.

Not sure how this would be different than a hammock with a bug net and separate tarp...

I think Cuben fiber used to be available with one side aluminized. And it came with a very sizable pricetag, as I recall.

I think the Space Blanket/ mylar sheet wouls be your best bet, porch mode or as already suggested open and somewhat high. you need to reflect and have air circulation.

I have found the Space blankets to be amazingly tough. I have had one of mine for years. I also have the Mylar Sheets I have founs them to be tough for what they are.

I have a Go-Lite-Umbrella out of silvery reflective fabric that is black on the inside, it reflects a lot of heat, great for hiking, I think mylar would work well over a tarp.

    1. Light colors ( to reflect light )
    2. High tarp hang to promote air flow
    3. Porch mode
    4. Perhaps the smallest asym you think you can get away with
