Been through them all, screw the decender rings, screw the whoopies. Get some cinch buckles and be done.

    Ditto:
After loosing the rings and going to Dutch Cinch Buckles and Dynema straps, it is even easier to hang than before, as well as lighter to carry.
I also no longer have all that heavy line attached to the Hennessy Hammock, switching to Cont Loops.

I have tried, made, used, experimented with every suspension possible and although this may be slightly heavier than some, the simplicity, ability to use closer trees when necessary, and ease of use has had me convert all my hammocks over to it, including a Ridgerunner (replaced the triangle apex connector with a descender ring). Just my 1 & 1/2 cents.
Late to the conversation, but I’m with Firebird, one ring on hammock ends and just webbing and a girth hitch to the ring, done. I tried to two rings on each end with a Garda hitch and it was prone to slip. Single ring and girth hitch, never has. I love it but everyone has to find what works for them. I use the Omega Pacific rings and have been happy with them.

The cinch buckles look like an even better system, just no real need for me to change, except all the Dutch stuff is cool and seems to work great.

Edit: Thinking about it a little more, I use an SRL, and I’m sure people use them with CB’s too, but the descender rings give a great attachment point for me, my suspension is attached to ring going to tree and my SRL is attached to ring going to other ring.....

the thicker rings work much better than the thin ones and don't cause the damage to the lines.
