They title doesn't tell the whole story as my good lady wasn't aware what "campsite" I had picked. Well first things first anyone in the uk looking for a hammock friendly campsite you cant go wrong with Camp Wight, I had a stunning little spot in the middle of the woods with no one to be seen until I made my way to the compost loo 500yds+ away. Allow fires in pits and are more than happy for hammocks.
After the initial death threats from my better half the family started to get into it, a new game of hammock rodeo was born and the kids became one with nature ( if nature was at a constant 100Db and suffered with tourettes but not learned any swear words yet)
On the last 3 trips I have been on my feet have been savaged by midges and i couldnt figure out why, as it turns out mt feet sail past my UQ and have been coming out of my DIY TQ footbox and the little gits have been doing me over from underneath the hammock. adjustments will be made.IMG_5214.jpg.
At least half of my tribe said they will join me when I take my next "proper" trip, carrying in the minimum but if the warden has any involvement packing I may need a mule or two.
For the UK campers I have attached a link to the site.
