New backpacking club just organized for folks in Northeast OH / Western PA

Some of you may be familiar with, or even members of, the Northeast Ohio Backpacking Club. It is being closed down in a couple months by its creator and webmaster after more than 10 years. In it's place, NEOHBC members have just started the Phoenix Backpacking Club as a Meetup Group, with previous NEOHBC members as organizers and trip leaders. Please spread the word to anyone you know in our area. It can be found at https://www.meetup.com/Phoenix-Backpack-Club/

The organizer is no longer doing much backpacking (biking and kayaking instead) and eventually became burned out on the labor of love to run the club for more than 10 years. No one in the club has the skill set to take over the existing site.

Yes, NEOH is Northeast Ohio (Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, etc). We also have folks from a bit farther away in our club. Many are into hammocking. In fact, this last weekend with snow on the ground and temps into high teens we had 3 of 8 in hammocks on our most recent NCT 2-nighter.
