I am going to bring a pot of chili or vegtable beef soup and make some cornbread and a peach cobbler in my Dutch oven. I can bring a load of firewood to.

Sorry we will miss it. Sipsey was our first group hang last Spring and we had looked forward to more. But we moved to California for a new job so we are trying to figure out how to hang in the desert now! Wishing you all great success!

Me and Ruger are planning on hanging somewhere in the Sipsey Friday night and then making our way to Wolfpen at some point Saturday. Any idea what day-hike the group will do?

It is about an hour and a half drive for me to get there and I get off at 5. How tacky will I be showing up at 6:30 or 7 on Friday night? May just shoot to get there early on Saturday.

I've never been to a hang, this will be my first one, but I imagine 6:30 or 7 wouldn't be bad at all. With work, that sounds like a reasonable time.

It's not tacky at all. There will still be plenty of campfire time and dinner and appetizers will probably still be going around. I usually arrive late, but am sneaking out of work early this time.

there has been people in the past getting there later than that on Friday night. there is no set time to get there so just show up , go ahead and go Friday because 1 night is not enough

Yay Skippy, glad you can make it! That sounds great-especially the firewood.

Sorry to hear that, Rick. I was hoping to see you and Sheri again. Congrats on the new job.
Sounds like y'all might have to get hammock stands.

No worries, get here when you can. We'll be hangin' out by the fire waiting for you.

I'm going to try to make it. It will either be with me and my wife, or me and a friend.

I think we are going to be car camping, so we can tent camp if it gets cold. What is the parking situation like, and what are the daily rates, and where do we pay?

I'll fill out the spreadsheet once I'm certain we are going, and I can figure out what sort of grub to bring. Thanks!

Edit: It looks like people part right on the wolfpen camping area, is that right? could anybody send me a screen shot of exactly where to meet up with everybody? I'm stoked about the trip.
