    DIY Hammock TQ Stowage

When on an outing I sometimes do not need my TQ in the hammock such as when lounging during the day. I would shove the quilt to the end of the hammock and it would just flop right back down on me. I thought it would be nice to have a lightweight 'diaper' so I could stuff my TQ to one end and quickly clip it up and out of the way on the foot end. This is my solution, made of some cheap bug netting that I had around. The ends are reinforced with some light webbing with holes burned through the center. The top end is slid over the continuos loop and the free end clips to a sliding prusik loop on the ridge line. When not in use it stuffs into a small package into the end of the hammock.

Nice idea, and it looks big enough not to compress the loft when ready to use.

Yes, and that is my large 0deg quilt. The bug netting is nice because it has some stretch to it, is light and breathable.

Edit: Wow, I just saw Dutch's peak shelf. I had no idea.
