I like the Gutermann 100% Polyester. You can get it at Jo Ann Fabric.

+1 on the Gutermann 100% polyester.
Ha... I was just at JoAnn fabrics this evening and bought that exact thread for a camp pillow I'm making. Thank you both.
Specifically Gutermann Mara 100 (AKA Sew-All), or Mara 70 if you can find it. You ca order the Mara 70 from many of the DIY vendors on here (Dutchware, Ripstop By The Roll, DIY Gear Supply, etc)
I get my Gütermann Mara 70 and Tera 40 (glossy, with high tensile strength, great for tarps etc.) from Wawak sewing: www.wawak.com

Thanks all.... much appreciated.
I use Gütermann Tera 60 for the channels and Tera 80 for non-load bearing seams. This thread had some very good info: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...-clarification
I ALWAYS see Gutermann Mara and Tera being recommended, in here, on Youtube vids and elsewhere. However, I live in a country where no one sells ANY Gutermann threads at all. I can only lay my hands on cheap spun polyester thread which is actually pretty full of lint,
Do you happen to know of any other brands that are of similar quality to Gutermann's Mara and Tera? Maybe I can source them locally.
AMANN is another thread maker that is recommended.
Do you know people in your country who sew? Ask them what they are using. Or go to a good shop that sells thread and ask.
