    Question Asym Vents?

Are "asym vents" in your fabric top covers a new customization? If so, will they become a listed optional upgrade on certain models?

    Thanks for letting us know.

This started out as a custom request. We've done it now 3 more times and the results seem to be very positive. We are able to add this customization on any of our asym hammocks having an overcover, but I'm not sure yet if there will be enough demand to make it an actual option on the order page. The good thing about a custom hammock is that you can easily get it the way you like it.
Here are the other two we've done.

Does it help prevent condensation? Is there any other benefits?

Don't really know as I've not personally slept in one of these yet.

The original goal was to provide more visibility and vent area as well as eliminate any claustrophobic or closed in feeling. I think we accomplished that goal, but I have no specific performance thoughts other than the positive feedback from the folks who are currently using them.

Maybe one will find it's way to the fall hang for some gazing and drooling.

I'm really hoping so. I'd sure like to get out of the workshop for some outside time.

Too much work can drive anyone insane! Better take a weekend so you can recoup.

I'm really considering adding this mod to my order. I also wonder if it helps with condensation with freezing temps. I feel like the condensation is going to freeze on something, so if not on your over quilt than on your under with this.

I don't have an issue with claustrophobia but given that i've yet to sleep with a top cover, I don't know for sure that I wouldn't appreciate the extra open space by the head. Seems like at the very least it would provide much fresher air to breath and smell. I do love being warm but still breathing crisp air in the winder.
