    Amock pad

Looking for a pad to go into my Amock hammock. I have been told that I need a pad with air chambers that run head to foot for rigidity. Seems to me that this would help being as without your feet seem to want to sag. But the only pad I have been able to find is a BA pad. Little pricy for a 3rd fall back on hammock. Gonna try and use it for the first time in Sipsey in November so I may need a little R value

i've got the exped synmat 9 (LW, long wide) in mine. I really like the support from the thicker pad, and it's fairly warm. I've had it down to below freezing, and just using a CDT top quilt, and was just fine (wearing thermal underwear, a hoodie and a proper canadian toque of course)

I've had a synmat 5, and synmat 7, non wide and it was fine, but much much preferred the synmat9 (7 LW would probably be fine too)

AMOK needs vertical tubes to give it it strength...
I wouldn't chance it, but the Ecotech looks like it might be a good pad for gathered ends. Especially with a 1/2" smear of silicone on each chamber to help keep it in place.
