Two Hammocks off the same two trees...AWESOME!

The pair of Beatle Buckle straps and the spreader bar I ordered of Dutchwaregear just arrived a little bit ago...and so did my new SLD Trail Lair! Perfect timing! I used my old spider straps on the foot end of each of my Trail Lairs and the new Beatle Buckle straps at the head ends with the spreader bar, hanging both hammocks together, side by side off the same two trees. Now I'm kicked back with my kid watching the progression of the eclipse from our hammocks! Pretty sweet! I can tell now I'll be doing a lot of side by side hanging from now on when we camp. This is way better than our usual trick of bunking the hammocks. Course, in a pinch we could do both and accommodate three hammocks with the same two trees and one SuperFly tarp!

(My 12 week old German shepherd pup as the day began darkening from the eclipse.)

(Funny little shadows cast through the leaves of the trees as the moon began blocking the sun.)

THANKS FOR CREATING IT DUTCH!!! It is AWESOME!!! And I love that it works with all GE hammocks! Some day I'm adding a Chameleon to my collection, but for now, I'm benefitting from a lot of the things you designed for the Chameleons. I'd already sewn D rings in two of my Trail Lairs and fitted them out with the incredibly convenient Chameleon Peak Shelf and now I've added Beatle Buckle straps and the spreader bar! I love it that these Chameleon components work just as nicely in hammocks I already have on hand! And someday I am getting a Chameleon to go with all its accessories!

It doesn't surprise me, Dutch, that this is the only way your daughter wants to hang now. I will definitely be bringing the Beatle straps and spreader bar every time we camp out now. When my daughter's friend comes along, the girls will want to have their hammocks side by side and when it's just my daughter and I, we will hang side by side. It really works great! It's cool to be able to hang right next to each other so comfortably and easily! And it will make camp site selection so much easier! It's a win all the way around!

That looks like a great way to hang with someone you want to be next to. I'll be ordering the suspension and spreader bar once Dutch puts the new double hammock bug net on his website.
