    Mummy Pod from Outdoor Vitals

Hope this is the right place for this. The Mummy Pod from Outdoor Vitals is a sleeping bag which converts to a under/over quilt. I'm curious if it's worth it or if I should just get their sleeping bag. Thoughts?

This active thread may offer some insight to the pod style systems.

I use my Snugpak Cocoon quite a bit and love it. OV recommends a shorter hammock to get a flat lay with the pod since you can't sleep on the diagonal, but I can get diagonal enough to get a pretty flat lay using both of my 11'ers with the Cocoon. Ive used it on its own into the mid - upper 20's and stacked with my Snugpak UQ & TQ inside and was fine @ 20°. The OV pod looks neat though. But idk if many people will go for the short hammock to lay flat idea though.....

I havo the OV aerie bag which is good as an UQ for single or double hammocks. I was skeptical about the short flat hang idea, but tried it out with the aerie as a pod. It works great for me, but the aerie construction left a few things to be desired (poor seal on the footbox, sticky zipper, zipper rubbing on your neck) which look to be addressed by the mummypod.
