Here's a post I made yesterday on pretty much the same subject.
Here's a post I made yesterday on pretty much the same subject.
Ol' ugly is made of hexon 1.6, and I love it. I just put my knotty mods in a less then ideal place for me.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!
I sleep nightly in a 1.7 Robic. I'm 215-230.
All my backpacking hammocks are 1.0 weight fabric (Hexon and HyperD). I sleep comfortably in all of them. I'm not at all worried about suddenly going to ground.
Robic 1.2 is very comfy. Just had my first hang in it today. It's a bit stiffer than HyperD 1.6 with some give, but no where near as stiff as poly 1.6. Just lounged a bit while watching the eclipse but it was nice. Haven't slept in it yet but I already know it's right in the sweet spot. I may be on the heavier side of the range but I figure it'll be only for backpacking. And I will inspect it every time I take it out.
Cheers,
The Goat
