Best underquilt for a hennessy zip hammock

What is the best underquilt for a hennessy zip? I would need it to go down to 30 degrees.

There isn't really a "best" underquilt for a gathered end hammock. There are lots of really good ones out there to look at. The first two that comes to mind are Hammockgear and Undergroundquilts.

I would recommend getting a quilt that is 10deg warmer than the lowest temp your camping in.

Jacks R Better "Nest" or "Winter Nest". They're designed for your hammock and the quality is excellent! The Jacks have been doing quilts for a long time. http://http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/the-nest/

I am picking up my UGQ under and top quilts today.
I have Deep jungle Asym Zip XL hammock., and I have seen them on other Hennessy Zips and they fit well.
From what I saw so far, is to not use the pull outs with the UQ, so to keep the draft out and give the snug fit up the sides.
I will advise and some pictures after I get some time to set it up.

The thing is, plenty of hammocks have pull outs and use under quilts just fine. I've never had a problem using the tie outs and an UQ fwiw.

Hi Dave, and welcome aboard! As you know, I know nothing about Hennessy, but I do know the weather where we tend to camp. Just thowing out there that you may want to go with synthetic, rather than down, with whichever you pick based on that.

    Best,

I have used the Arrowhead Equipment Potomac and it fits perfectly with the Hennessy.

Another option, if you are just looking to dip your toes in and don't want to spend a fortune is the Snugpak, ~$53 USD. Fits a hennessy zip well.
