Yea and you might definitely have to be "hearty" this year if this holds. We haven't seen many days above zero in the past couple of weeks

The three of us coming up from Kansas (we lost our 4th - it wasn’t a good idea for a number of reasons) will be arriving mid to late Thursday night. Packing into my Forester, and after seeing our loadout on a practice trip, I’m feeling a bit concerned about car space. Not so much concerned for our gear, but for what all we can bring to contribute (which we want to in all ways we can, obviously.)

What should be the top priority for things we bring for the group if space becomes a critical issue? Water? Cooler? Or is there some kind of general fund set up to contribute to if others are possibly able to fit contributions for us?

Any input anyone has would be great. Looking forward to it!

Looking forward to meeting everyone this year. I've been told stories of past hangs and am hoping to give my gear a good test and have a good time hanging out with everyone.

Water is always the biggest issue - however we are on a lake this year so we don't have to melt snow. If you can bring a few 1-gallon plastic jugs that can feeze and we can cut open, that would be the most necessary. There is always more than enough food :P

Exactly the info I was looking for. I'm hoping we can contribute significantly more, but I wanted to make sure we were prioritizing needs over wants.

I work the 20th so I can't hang over night....

That being said, as it stands now, I'm planning on driving up on the 19th so I can put an ugly face to all your screen names... Pluss with me being there, it will increase the quality of people on sight by an astronomical proportion ...

Does anyone plan on bringing an ice auger?
I’d like to get my son to try ice fishing but don’t have an auger myself... hoping someone else is planning on bringing one and wouldn’t mind drilling a couple holes for us.

I’m also still looking to borrow, rent or buy a 0-20* ambush or lynx.
