I'll throw in another endorsement for the L-tracks. Put some up in my spare bedroom, and they work like a charm. Use the double stud fittings for maximum security. The o-ring is completely unnecessary; you can 'biner to the eye on the fitting directly--not to mention plain fittings are only a buck a piece as opposed to $5 for the ones with o-rings. You could also use a second set of single stud fittings to rig up a tarp ridgeline, should you feel so inclined.

I've had good luck with a 6x6 post. I've had it up for 2.5 years without problems.

It's about 4' deep. If worried about the "sharp" edges of the square, you can just run a hand planer over it to soften the edges.

I'm considering the L track for tarp connection.
I was thinking about going eye bolt for the hammock connection. Do folks use the screw in version or drill all the way through the post and bolt it on? Galvanized?

Drill through. When you do this, you are placing the weight on the washer, which can be pretty big. When you use a screw-in, you are resting on the threads, which can pull out.

Also, with a drill-through, you can use a shouldered eye bolt, which will tend to prevent downward forces from widening the hole because the entire bolt is under tension through the post.

Seems slightly redundant to do both, IMO. Unless you plan on frequently changing the height of your tarp, the L-track would be overkill for that purpose alone. If you're going with fixed eye bolts for the hammock suspension, might as well throw on another set of less heavy-duty eye bolts for the hammock ridgeline (or tie onto the posts directly) and save yourself a few bucks. Just my two cents!

I was thinking about the L track for setting my tarp at different levels. I might just scrap that and hang the tarp as I do from the trees. I plan to do an eye bolt for the hammocks and maybe a second one higher up to set up the Smokehouse tarp. I could also use that for higher tarp setting.

Nice set up! I'm planning on putting hummingbird feeder and bird feeders on mine too.
