2nd Annual Blackjack Hang - December 1st-3rd 2017 Official Planning Thread

Good day fellow hangers! We are happy to announce that we will be holding our 2nd fall hang this year. With 30-40 hangers coming to both the fall and spring hang this year, we look forward to this event growing!

This hang will take place on 300 acres of private land. It is car camping/primitive with no bathrooms or running water. There is a running spring that will provide plenty of water if you desire. We have plenty of hang spots in which all will be within walking distance of your car. The property sits in a country setting with mature hardwoods and pines with trails throughout. The trails are maintained annually and would allow for both walking/biking. I will attach a few links of things to do in the area. There is a grocery store and Wally World approximately 15 minutes away in Batesville or in Oxford if you would like to grab your grub once you get here. THE FOOD HAS BEEN TO DIE FOR at the last two hangs! So come one come all - I am looking forward to seeing a few old friends and meeting new ones. I really hate to hear that man. Its a shame we have to work..... I will likely see you in October at the Nubist hang.

There has been some talk again about moving the date of this hang. I know of several folks already that can't come due to prior obligations. I am looking at the first weekend in December as my first option. This could bring a few degrees cooler temps (which I consider a good thing) I understand that one set weekend is not going to fit in everyone's schedule. SO WHAT ABOUT MOVING THE DATE TO DECEMBER 1st - 3rd.

Thanks for considering another date Chriss, there is a very, VERY good chance that I can make that one. But if that don't work out I'll under stand as some folks have already planned their schedule around the other date.
