I've never even seen a skunk, other than Pepé Le Pew, I'd quiet like to see one(as long as it's calm and not wanting to squirt smelly stuff.

And as for raccoon how could you not welcome these adorable creatures... Lol

Wow you have never seen a raccoon then, I liked them till I had to camp astound them. They are into everything, you either get no sleep or lose a bunch of stuff, and they don't mind tearing up your gear to see what's inside.

I've never lived in a country that had them. Japan has a tanuki, called a raccoon dog, but they are super timid and you're really lucky to see one.

Monkeys take there place by the sounds of it. Monkeys don't really chew through your gear, but they will steel anything they like the look of, not just food. Plus a bear bag does work with Monkeys they are good climbers, don't you know.

They do share a lot of traits with monkeys, they use hands and teeth, are very smart, not very scared of you, and find much of the same things interesting. And will come back over and over once they see that you have stuff they can get into.

Yep, once they realise that you (probably) won't kill/hurt them, it becomes a game.

Yeah raccoons are pretty much a pest and very smart. It doesn't take them long to associate people with food.

I live on a river. Coons are an ever-present nuisance. Choosing between rats and coons would be a tossup. They are at their worst in campgrounds. Ugh.
