My new lux should be here today! Stocked to get it hanging and see if I can cobble something together to make my Ridgecreek UQ work until I can pull the pin on an Incubator.
I've got well over 150 nights in mine now.
I'm not that "big' at 6', 190lbs, but I broke my back in 1994 and this thing has been a game changer for me.
I am still in love.

I finally got out last weekend with my new Lux. I did everything wrong LOL. When I arrived at camp it was just getting ready to pour so I quickly threw up my tarp and got the Lux hung up - I took care to check the poles but didn't tweak ridgeline or really level anything. Then I realized it was inside out LOL so I had to do it all over.
I don't have an UQ yet but brought my ancient old square sleeping bag with plans to try to use it as an UQ but with the rain coming down I just threw it inside and used it like a pad. Temps dropped in the mid 50's maybe but I slept like a log!!
I think I may have finally found my perfect hammock! Thanks again to Bill for answering all my stupid questions
My BGBH is use at a hang a week ago. Soooo comfortable for me!

And I was set up just to the left listening to his snoring .
It was a nice spot to hang.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Just an update-
I have been a bit slow to respond lately... beyond the fun stuff we are all dealing with I chose to lighten up my weight by having my appendix removed.
While my appendix was quite inebriated it was fortunately removed right before it spilled bile all over the place and stunk up the joint too much.
Recovery wasn't too bad- but since my dayjob has been quite busy of late- something had to give so I cut out some of the computer and sewing time for a bit.
While "abs" or 'Core strength' really are not terms that have much relevance to my abdominal area these days- I have recovered enough that I am resuming sewing and working on catching up on things overall.
Hope you're all hanging in there- and fer those of you who have failed to hang in there with other options: yer old pal Bill will eventually catch up with you and get a bridge headed your way. If you reached out- check your junk mail for TownsEnd or Just Bill
Get well soon buddy! Take care of yourself and your family first, foremost, and always!
But for the grace of God, there, I go...
