Dutch Clips strong enough for a bridge hammock

Hopefully this is an easy one. Anyone know if Ti Dutch Clips are strong enough for the lower hang angle of a bridge hammock? I've seen different posts and videos that seem to disagree. Actually, while I'm here, the "take off" from the tree with these clips seems to differ as well. What is the consensus on that?

Dutch did a vid about the proper use of a dutch clip:

The dutch clips work okay on a bridge hammock for me.

I have never had an issue with either of the 2 bridge hammocks that I use. I am way less than 200 pounds, so don't know how much difference that would make.

We have never had the Ti Dutch Clip fail. However if you don't use it properly it can be hard on the webbing. So having that webbing coming from the hammock somewhat straight is important but that holds true if using a biner or pulling through it's own loop.

I have been using Dutch Aluminum and the Ti Clips for a long time now ( pretty much since the were introduced ) with gathered end and bridge hammocks. I weight 275+ lbs and have yet to have any problems with them.

I do prefer the original style clips as they allow the straps to stay flat.

    OPs premise is wrong!

Bridge Hammocks should have the same 30* down angle as any other hammock or lots of negative things may start to happen.

Dutch Clips strong enough for a bridge hammock

    Premise may be " Wrong"
I reckon the flatter the hang---
    The wronger it is...
    I don't have a bridge hammock---
Seems I remember several Forum members posting about regularly using less than 30 degree angle of hang, for bridge hammocks. I don't know if they had a reason---or if it's mythical oft repeated lore.
What can happen with a flat hang?---
    Say 5 degrees
Might pull tree over onto your permanently sleeping carcass
Suspension and or hardware can snap
Cambium, inner layer of tree bark that nourishes our tree can be damaged and tree die or be sick.
If Park Rangers notice a problem with tree damage---all us hammockers can be banned at selected parks and forests.
I think lots of hammock campers have been a little off on hang angle without knowing it---say 20 degrees, and for the most part with no consequences that are immediately apparent.
I say shoot for 30 and don't worry about it...

Where this may be coming from is the ridgerunner has a recommended angle of 25 degrees. It pulls the hammock out so the cat cuts in the middle can do their job of pulling up your butt.
