Hey guys,
I'm still considering a WL top quilt.
Do most people use the top shock cord/cinch? Worth the $20, or not a big difference?
Also any idea how much weight this adds? (1oz?)

A draw cord seals out the drafts, so yes, it is worth it to me.
Use mine all the time. Worth it to me for sure.
Never knew that cost extra.

Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
All my WL UQ's have them. I did not know it was an options to not have them. I think they help.
I wholly concur.
Yep! Love mine!
I guess the elastic is another Personal Choice. I would never use something like that.
I put a quilt hook at my shoulder to keep my quilt in place over my shoulder and another swivel mitten hook on the foot end of my hammock & quilt.
To me having a quilt with a strap around my neck would bother me too much. Maybe it was raising kids or the need to exit in a hurry, I do not want any straps or anything around my neck.
I have a down balaclava I wear, it comes down over my shoulders. I absolutely have to keep my shoulders warm, but no way would I put a strap bungie cord or elastic around my neck.
Obviously several members really value the extra security.
