Great work folks. I know the park folks were happy to see you. Wish I could have made it to the hang, but 3500 miles in previous week was a bit much to overcome.

Corey, nice photos. BTW the crest of the ridges in your photos is the Appalachian Trail

Yes it is. I think that is the part just South of the priest isn't it?
In my younger days, before I messed my legs up so bad, I used to trot up and down that section of the AT myself and dream of one day doing more.

The only 'camping' pic I have is what I saw on the Monday after.

Started on my feet and worked its way up my legs as the week went on. Doc thinks its a reaction Yo! A bug bite. Not poison ivy, which I did see around some of the little shelters.

===> Dude, what a great hang, great effort! Having spent time down your way, in my no-so-professional but-very-experienced opinion, those look like Chigger bites to me. Thanks for sharing all the pics, the trip report, and for adding some good mojo for hangers!

I have to say, you all made a big difference from how it looked last year. Took the family on a 4 day hiking trip around the area this past weekend and Natural Bridge was one of the areas the kids wanted to see. The State Parks taking over has made it a much better experience and we could definitely see the hard work put forth from the "hangers". Good job all.

    And that makes out worthwhile.
... well that and the special use permit which allowed us to hang at Natural Bridge!
