Thanks to all that were able to come out and brave the wind and rain last weekend. Friday night was the best weather and Granny Pat kept the fire tended perfectly until everyone turned in. At about 2 AM, I woke to the sound of the coming rain that began intermittently off and on. By morning, the rain had set in was there to stay, some had already packed up and left by daylight based on the weekend forecast. The weather did not improve at all, and a decision was made to take a little road trip to Mountain Crossings at Neal's Gap for some shopping (not to mention escaping from under the Blue Tarp) for a while. Monies were spent and a good time was had, plus a lunch in nearby Blairsville. We were not able to get a fire going nor did the much anticipated Dutch Oven cobbler even get pulled out in the rain, maybe next year with a larger tarp perhaps it can be done.
    Attendees:
Tom Fish ( left before I arrived Friday)
    Granny Pat
    Gear Junkie
    Inspector Guy and Jan

*The weather definitely played a big role in the limited attendance this year, but understandable. Thanks to everyone that made the effort and put up with the wind and rain. There's always next year!
