Got Dumped and Wound Up Here

    Hey guys,

So I got an ENO Doublenest just over a year ago to woo a girl who was adamant I get one. Between the time I purchased it and the time it arrived she dumped me.

After a few listless nights and a few listens to Nevermind I started wondering what practical use I could get out of this thing. After a lot of lurking here and on Shug's channel on YouTube I started getting a setup together for hammock camping. After the first night with my hammock hung between the fence and the crab apple tree in our back yard I was absolutely sold.

Nearly every weekend this summer I've been pretty blessed with opportunities to do overnight camping in the Rockies and each time out I learn something. Simplifying knots, learning new ones, etc. It's great so far and I'm looking forward to where this goes!

"One door closes, another opens." Welcome to the Forum! I'm sure you'll have a long, fulfilling relationship with your hammock!

I'm from Calgary too! I just don't live there.

My exes will say I'm not qualified to offer advice on romantic pursuits.
I say--keep looking and have fun in your journey.
And have fun with your hammock,

She didn't dump you. She just freed you from future disappointment.

Now, you can take your fancy new hobby and use it to woo a girl who appreciates you.

    Happy hanging.

Almost every weekend this summer hammock camping in the Rockies. Nice! Kudos for not letting the door that was closing hit you in the backside!

Sounds like fate, for the better, has spoken loudly! Welcome!
