Yeah, I'll be driving up from Kingston coming in from the east side - picking up a boat at oxtongue lake (I know i should get one at portage store but they don't rent solos). I can be at smoke I think by noon. If that's too late for you go on up ahead and I'll meet you on Little Island (you're not paddling the green prospector but red-kanu this time?).

Has anyone called in permits other than for the weekend? It won't let me book a leg from smoke to louisa online (too far). It won't even let me book a leg from Little Island to Louisa (same reason).

Noonish works for me, no worries. I see Opeongo Outfitters rents 15' solo Kevlar boats. Wouldn't that be closer for you?

We had the same problem with online permits in the Spring. We had no problem, however, getting permits for 34 km days at the permit office.

It's going to cost me an extra 1/2 hour each way from smoke - AO, but I wanted a pack boat (keewaydin) for this trip. Maybe the best place to meet would be the permit office at canoe lake?

If you guys want to break the trip down into smaller sections, that'd be fine with me as well. Whatever works for you.

I am hoping to finalize booking this time off and attending the Main Event. I will be solo, coming from Etobicoke and picking up a canoe in Port Sydney from a friend who will no longer be joining me. Hoping to head up to Port Sydney Thurs and spending the night to get in the park bright and early Friday. Anyone need water transportation? Have a seat available now lol.

No doubt! With the amazing perogies you shared in the bush, I'd expect you to hang on to them even tighter!

No problem securing the Sun - Wed permits but I need to know roughly what time everybody expects to arrive on Monday to figure how far we can expect to go for the first night.

Can we get ETAs from all the Monday arrivals please?
Based on previous replies, this is Chard, Quiet & Lofty making a total party of six "Loopers" ... anybody else?
