Those are the Chinese knock-offs in stainless steel, I have tested them to more than a tonne.
Mike the inventor, didn't commit, but plenty of folk use the titanium ones (not the aluminium ones) for hammock suspension.
But as the chi-clone ones are pennies instead of dollars and only 11g, that's what I use.

    Gotcha

A whoopie sling is stronger than dyneema webbing... but not lighter.
For a 6 foot whoopie sling you need 12.5 feet of 7/64 Amsteel. At 1.3g per foot, that comes to 16.5g. A six foot length of 1" dyneema 2.0 webbing weighs in at 12g.
This is the reason I have eschewed whoopies for a single line of 2.5mm (7/64"). I have used stainless steel aliens for 2 years now, still using the same Amsteel as when I started, no wear to speak of.

If you want to go no-hardwear, a double becket hitch to your amsteel CL works well on a single lead of 7/64".

I found this on youtube. This might work if I can find some light rings.

I am not qualified to question Derek, but...that is most likely going to severely compress the Amsteel.
