    Dogs

    I was asked about bringing dogs to the hang. We have had dogs at previous hangs and have not had any issues. Since we could have multiple dogs, or people that do not care for them, we ask that you are respectful.

    The Coconino National Forest Policy is;
    Generally, dogs (pets), are allowed anywhere in the forest provided they are contained (as in a vehicle or a cage) or leashed at all times.

    The Campsite Policies are:
    1. Pets must always be contained or on a leash.
    2. You must clean up after them and dispose of the waste.

    Campsite Rules

    It was pointed out to me that my image of the forest service campsite rules in the first post was inadequate, so I am re-posting them.

    I've marked this on my calendar! I'm planning to come down Thursday night and leave Saturday morning. I can being a few demo hammocks, if anyone is interested. Do we want to organize a group potluck Friday evening? Or a gear swap?

    I'm definitely in for a pot luck Friday!

    Demo hammocks- I've got myself and kids rigged up, but have had a harder time finding a hammock my wife likes. If she comes along (she came a couple years ago) I'd love for her to be able to try some stuff and see if she can find something she likes. (She didn't try anyone's hammocks last time, I'll encourage her to ask and try some this time, if she comes.

    Also, I'd love to see the tentsile!

    I have been waiting for everyone to jump in on this. We have had no shortage of food in previous years. In fact, we could have fed a group twice our size. I have memories of green chile cheeseburgers, pulled pork, soups, appetizers, dutch oven biscuits, breads and desserts, etc. I don't expect that anyone will go hungry.

    If needed, I can bring a canopy, double burner stove, propane, and some cookware. I also have a grill for the fire pit.

    Let's hear what people plan to cook up this year. I think we are going to have more than just a potluck Friday evening, but that will be a good start.
