What is the longest hammock that this will accommodate? Not too many on here use an 8 1/2ft hammock. Mine are at least 10 1/2ft or longer.

Also how far out from the bumper does it extend so that you can get a proper diagonal lay? (Not like in the pictures and video.) Hanging your feet out the side is only comfortable for a few minutes before the circulation is cut off to your feet.

I fully intended on conjuring up a frame for the back of my pickup flatbed this spring. Bought the aluminum connectors to supplement the ones I have for my DIY zodiac inflatable raft frame. Planned on using galvanized fence rail that fits into the aluminum joints. Then....life went awry and all my focus and energy has been on starting anew, solo, and pounding together a domicile before winter hits the mountains of MT. I'll get back to it soon enough, but my DIY frame was going to be for my hammocktent 90 degree hammock that only needs 9 feet ridgeline and my body would run parallel with the truck bed long axis.

I received my Hammock Hitch Stand and took it camping this past weekend.

Overall I like it, but some complaints too. First off, luckily I had some rope from another hammock with me.

    With the rope extensions added:

My pieces don't fully line up so the hex holes for the bolts to fit into to keep them from moving (much like a carriage bolt, but with a hex) don't drop into the hole and thus spin when tightening.

    I also got the chairs.

I have only used it with the hammock I purchased from the stand manufacturer to go with the stand. I have a 10 foot double that I will use for it next time.
