Hi. Great idea! I was able to find these on amazon for maybe a little more cost. On your video you said you didn't like the o-ring, why not? Thanks!

My guess is he found the O-ring to be unnecessary. You can clip a carabiner or larks-head an amsteel loop to the fitting directly. And that doesn't even take into account the cost savings--the double-stud fittings w/ O-rings go for $5.50 each, while the plain fittings are currently on sale for a buck a piece.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell but to be honest, when I bought the first fitting it was dirt cheap. I use the Ring to hang stuff from but not the hammock, most of the time it is just a nuisance.

I looked at these, I think they are great. I hang lots of different hammocks at home and this would help. I have sometimes had to be barely off the floor or high enough I almost couldn't touch to get out in order to have a good hang in different hammocks, being able to have that adjustability would be great, these are on my to do list. Also they have heavy duty and regular track and hooks so you might consider both to see what is best for you. I'll do the stronger cuz I like to have some company sometimes for a movie or something.

    This needs a bump.
I just installed a set of these in my living room. Best system ever.

Well that tipped the scales, if it is good enough for oldgringo, it's good enough for me! I am setting up another dedicated hammock room in my house and this will be a great help.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Fantastic! No room for the TurtleDog in the house but this will work nicely!

Thank you guitstik and oldgringo! Just placed my order.

Just placed my order as well. Thanks Guys. Been looking for a way to hang in my bedroom without making the wife lose her king size bed....LOL. But i'm a "big guy" so this will be the strongest test to date for these things.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".

Here's another thing...Cargo Control lists these as being 1/2" thick. They are thinner than that, just a hair over 3/8". The point here is, you could easily hang a picture, etc over these when not in use.
