I took the family up to north Ga for a 4-day weekend this past weekend. I didn’t find out until Monday that national hammock day came and went while we were up there, so I decided to share some pics. The kiddos and I have enjoyed the luxuries of over-nights in hammocks for a while now, but this weekend we finally got my better half into one for the night. I do believe we now have the entire family converted. This area is a few miles outside of cell range and we enjoy hiding out there as often as possible. I am blessed with a great family who enjoys getting out into nature and doesn’t complain about losing their phones for long weekends.
We lucked out with the bugs. They were virtually non-existent and we didn’t have to use bug nets. We just used poncho liners for covers and were perfectly comfortable.

This was actually the second weekend in a row that I snuck a long weekend from work. The previous weekend, we hit the same camping area, just a different site. For both weekends, we had set the same goals ... read, eat, sleep, and repeat. Happily, both weekends were very successful.
