Greetings and Salutations.

I'm Tim. I live in Clifton, VA, about 40 minutes west of DC. I lurked on these forums for a long time, reading, and learning, and recently picked up a HH Jungle Explorer Zip. I've used it twice now on camp outs with my son's Boy Scout troop. I have enjoyed the quality posts on the site, so I decided to join and help support the site.

I'm old enough that sleeping on the ground is pretty hard for my back and joints, and sleeping in a hammock leaves me feeling all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. The side benefits of not having to deal with wet ground, bugs, or trying to clear a flat spot of rocks is all bonus to me.

Welcome from Northeastern Maryland ! Coming up in November their will be a NoVA group hang @ Prince William Forest park. Last years was great, lots of food, perfect temps and plenty of hammock set ups to check out. You should come.
