One of the goals of mine when making the Chameleon hammock was to build a frame that i could make components for it in the future. Nothing shows that off more than the Double Dutch bugnet. It turns two single person hammocks into a two person hammock. This is something I have been working on for years with introducing the double hammock whoopie hooks and then the Beetle Buckle suspension. Now you can go out with your friend, spouse or child and camp with them like you could in a tent, only more comfortably. As you may know the Chameleon uses a very special zipper we developed to make tops removable and interchangeable while opening up in the middle. Also that you can flip the top so it changes the direction of the lay. This holds true for the Double Dutch Bugnet. You simply flip it over and you will either be laying head right/foot left or head left/foot right. Teh center is completely sealed and you can open it up to access items below the two hammocks. Looks great! It's a lot like my Clark vertex but more flexible. Do you have a matching topcover/weathershield? Larger beds, lots of pockets, chosing one or 2... Would have saved me a bit! Great option!

Looks great! It's a lot like my Clark vertex but more flexible. Do you have a matching topcover/weathershield? Larger beds, lots of pockets, chosing one or 2... Would have saved me a bit! Great option!

We plan on coming out with a top cover later this fall. The options you mentioned are available as the standard options on the Chameleon. The idea is you buy single hammocks, but have the option of making them a two person hammock.

As long as both people lay the same direction, you are good. My daughter and I have been using this all summer and it has really worked out perfectly but two adults are just fine also.

I meant that all the options were already there that the Clark doesn't have save for the weathershield. I should have been more clear. I love the ideas for the chameleon and being able to link them or go solo would have meant saving a bit compared to my buying both the Vertex and the NX270 for solo/partner trips. Being able to hang off one tree could be a huge advantage for some though it's not usually a problem here in east TN. Any future option of a linking cord and 3 trees? It is nice never being moved when the gf meanders for random breaks in the middle of the night. Lol
