Does the standard bug netting work on 1.6 Hyper XL?

As the title suggests I'm looking to see if the Standard netting will be big enough without risk of tearing. I just completed my first XL and it feels *much* wider than the regular HyperD. (No more dangling feet when completely sprawled!)

About to try another and want to be sure it will work or if there are other options. I would rather not have to see it in panels.

I have a HyperD 1.6 XL that I use with a Fronkey style bug net and have no issues with added strain on the big net.

Contrary to what it may seem, increasing the width of the hammock fabric does not change the size of an attached bug net.

Thanks to both of you. I hadn't tried it and since I don't have any big hangs in my area to learn from I'm experimenting along as I go. Just trying to rely on the gathered wisdom to avoid the more costly pitfalls.

Agreed. If anything, it can pull the sides of the hammock up a touch more, which is fine since there is more fabric to be pulled up. I wouldn't worry about it. FWIW, the XL Chameleon's that Dutch makes use the same nets & covers as the regular width version.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

My hammock is a Hexon 1.6 wide and the wife's is HyperD 1.6 regular width. We have identical sized Fronkey bug nets that I made, and it they work equally well for both. That Fronkey is a magician! I even heard he once turned a dog into a mosquito!
