    Insulmat Hot

Anybody tried this pad out yet. Cool idea but Im thinking you are going to be carrying a lot of batteries. I wonder if you could just turn it on to warm things up and then off again to conserve batteries. Any thoughts

I have a term that I use frequently: third world engineering. It means something designed to function well, be as foolproof as possible, and be easily repairable out past the end of the supply lines. You could just as accurately call it backcountry engineering.

The gringo will take a pass on this gadget.
