    Sewing climashield

I made a topquilt and underquilt set out of clima shield last week. I had a lot of trouble seeing it and keeping things in order I sewed the shell together then pinned the clima shield down and it kept getting caught and pulling as it went through the presses foot. I had the clima on top of the shell is there a better way to do this??

I cut one of the shells oversized by about 3" on the perimeter (if fabric width allows) and wrap it up over the Climashield in the material stack; it acts as a "glide strip" for the presser foot. (One can also use tissue paper and tear it away afterward.)

Sew with the Fabric side up. If you pin it well nothing should move around, the clima won't grab on the feed feet the way it does on the presser foot.

    Thanks y'all for the feedback!

My plan is a 2.5 oz top-quilt, nothing crazy. I'm going to play around with some scraps and try these methods out!

I have better luck when the climashield is against the feed dogs
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Well, after a few fights with Climashield I have found a way that works for me.

I baste the top and bottom of my quilt together matching the edges (sometimes I do a deferential cut sometimes not, just depends). Climashield is then added, I use long clips by Clover to hold the package together. I put tissue paper over the feed dogs, that way the #*!@ Climashield does not snag on the xxxx presser foot. I tried doing it the other way around with the Climashield on the top of the sandwich, however the Agron did not feed quite right. Be sure to leave the bottom open to turn the sandwhich right side out.
Go slow, breathe deeply and chant something along the lines of "I can do this, I can do this, I will not become angry" Peace and Love.

You need to keep checking, with the needle down to be sure you are catching the climachield very well into your stitching, the stuff wants to move away from your needle. Slow and easy and in the mood will get the job done.

I've made 4 each of TQ and UQ using Climashield. I lay my fabric on top of it and pin it. I sew with Climashield on bottom and fabric on top with presser foot on top of fabric. Never had an issue.
