Post VT > Rain Man's 2017 Vermont AT Hike

You're welcome to give me a shout. I already have some folks planning to hike with me here or there and/or to shuttle me some. This is a big step in my finishing the entire AT later this year.

Nice itinerary. I remember Vermont as being one of the rewarding sections of the AT. Enjoy your hike!

I wish I had the time to meet with you on the trail and hike a day or two but I'm just not quite to the retirement age just yet. Good luck on your hike and may you have good weather and limited bugs. Be sure to update us along the way if you can.

Sorry, the timing is not good for me - although I am in Bennington, VT, on the days you will be there, I will be out of town on business.
    Good luck and be safe!

I hiked into Hanover yesterday and finished off Vermont's 161 miles (from Mt. Greylock for me). It was a great 15 hiking days and 2 ZERO days. Only rained when I was already bedded down for the night. Neither bugs nor mud were horrible. LOTS of NOBOs and SOBIs doing either the AT or the Long Trail.

Spent today as Tourist in Providence, Newport, Bristol, and Warren, Rhode Island. Fly home tomorrow.

Patience! I'm not even home yet. Sitting in Providence, RI airport right now.

But will, as always, be posting an entire photo album in next few days.
