Hammockgear tarp with 90degrees bridge hammock

90 degrees ul gamma hammock is recommended on the hammocktent site to be used with hammocktarp from zpacks.
Can anyone tell me why I can't use the hammock gear tarp with doors?

They tell me it's not advisable but I don't understand why:
    Practically the same measurements.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks, from a newbie

Hammocktent offers a tarp made for them by Zpacks, which has dimensions that are different from most tarps made for gathered end hammocks.

Basically, their tarp is much wider (11.5 feet) and only has a 7 foot ridgeline, whereas the HG cuben has an 11 ft. ridgeline and is only 8.5 ft wide.

If you search the other 90* hammock threads you will see that folks have come up with a number of options for a tarp including the custom zpacks hammocktent tarp.

When I first opened this post I was thinking that someone invented a new hammock, i.e. a 90* that was a bridge hammock. Bridge hammocks use spreader bars to try and get less squeeze. The hammocktent achieves far less squeeze than a bridge hammock by the design. My first hammock was a bridge WBRR and I found the hammocktent to be far more comfortable.

    thanks, I will.
At this point I'm thinking diy along the measurements I've been given in silnylon: made try cuben later. It costs the equivalent of almost 500 dollars here in cuben...
