How baffle material is cut and we are putting it on sale.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the baffle for? Is it for a TQ or UQ? I love old machinery as well as old tools.

The baffle material is a strip of NoSeeum mesh, the same as is used for bug nets. Dutch cuts it in three different widths and sells it by the foot to use in DIY down quilt builds as a separator between the chambers that hold the down insulation between the shells.

The strips have other uses for building hammock gear as well; I have used it to join two pieces of Climashield synthetic insulation into a unified layer by butting their edges against one another and basting the mesh strip over the top to create a strong joint and make the make the seam disappear under the quilt shells.

I just bought a bunch more after Dutch announced this sale.
