Smile It's No Jellyfish, But I'm Still Darn Proud! 1st DIY Hammock.

It's not really my first, I did practice with a couple stuff sacks and some drawstring backpacks for the kids. After four different attempts at finding a rolled hem foot for my machine, I finally just pined like crazy and did it free hand.

My new baby; 11' Tawny Olive HyperD 1.6. I also spliced the 8" amsteel continuous loops and a 110" structural ridge line. I didn't make the top quilt in the pictures.

Thanks for the compliments. I really need to do a shout-out to Jellyfish, without her videos making it look so easy I don't think I would have even tried.

All of her tips for making gear and sewing in general take all the mystery away and just leave you to your imagination.

Nice work, DC. Be proud of your project. Tawny Olive is a great color; I made a Silpoly tarp that color to go with my Tiger Stripe hammock that I really love. The clarity and helpful nature of Jellyfish's videos are seconded unequivocally.

I love this color!!! Great hammock. Simply awesome.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

I would like to suggest a slightly more natural hang spot for that most beautiful hammock. Lol!!! Well done! I have yet to attempt a tarp or hammock (other than a tablecloth version).
