Tarp pole kit

Looking to invest in a superfly and was wondering if anyone actually use the pullouts with the tarp pole kit

Seemed like most everybody was using a Superfly at the last group hang I was at. I would guess 7 out of 10 tarps were Superfly and at least 60% used external pole mod. I have the same tarp but don't see the enough reward for hauling the poles but I'm definitely the minority and, that being said I have poles

Personally I see way more benefit to putting poles on across the tarp on the underside, but again, that would be for backyard or drive in camping.
