    Tapatalk alternative.

I appreciate having my subscribed forums and blogs aggregated to one site, but the last few Tapatalk updates leave me cold. If I want ads for dating, viagra, cancer warnings, OCD test and how to get a date I can go elsewhere. And I refuse to pay to remove ads. I know developers need to make a buck but I'm not paying for this one..

Are there any alternatives to Tapatalk aggregator?

Really, it bugs you that much yet you aren't willing to shuck out the crazy high fee of $5 per year. It seems pretty reasonable for the tool they have developed.

Just use bookmarks with a browser. It just like viewing your site with a pc or laptop. I gave up on Taptalk a long time ago. Now I have short cuts on my home screen for each of the forums I visit with a link to new posts.

I dunno, I tend to agree with the sentiment (though it doesn't bother me much at the moment, since I haven't been using Tapatalk much recently). However I have been using tapatalk now for years, and I even purchased a pro version at some point, which turned out to mean nothing when they combined versions a couple years ago. Basically their business model stinks, their support leaves a lot to be desired, and if there were alternatives out there I bet a lot of folks would switch away.

I don't like the yearly fee model. If it cost $4.99 to buy the app and remove ads (like most other apps out there), sure. But $1/month or $5 a year for the privilege is, I think, steep for what it gets you. Especially if you're just using it to read one or two forums. Then again, that's just my personal opinion, and to be honest it doesn't bother me enough to make me stop using Tapatalk for the minor uses that I do. But I can see how it would irk folks that use it more than I do, and as a matter of principle I much prefer the idea of having to pay for added functionality, rather than just for the ability to not have ads everywhere. YMMV.

    Tapatalk alternative.

I guess all I'd say is that the amount of effort it requires to develop and support a tool like Tapatalk is huge. The ads didn't really bug me until recently when they put them at the top. I can't speak to past business behavior but $5 a year for the service seems pretty reasonable if you spend a lot of time on forums.

$5 to opt out of ads and get my privacy back. Nah.

Not saying the developers should work for free, but I can choose how I feel about being bombarded by ads that have nothing to do with any of the forums I follow. Come on... ads for OCD tests?

I do the same thing as Trail Slug. I uninstalled Tappatalk years ago after only using it a few days. I just prefer viewing the Forum on my phone the same way I view it on my computer. I have a link for it on my phone homepage. Easy peasy and no ads ever.

I ditched tapatalk after about 2 weeks. Just not for me. I believe someone else brought this up recently. I recall it mentioned that you can uninstall and then install older versions, but I don't really know.
